UPDATES:
Revision 3b: (01.03.2008)
Added a warning/notice screen at start when the program detects a PSP Slim TA-085-v2 mainboard to avoid cunfusion and wondering why the patching of the battery doesn't work.
Theese boards can not patch the battery due to changes in the hardware of the new revision!

Revision 3a: (15.01.2008)
Hopfully fixed some issues with 3.80-M33.

Revision 3: (27.12.2007)
- Uses direct hardware access code from Silverspring to set battery serial, so it should work on 3.80 as well....
- Can write and read back the serial to file (ms0:/batser.bin) - you can also use this to customize the serial by editing this file with a hexeditor before reading it back in
(if a restore from file is attempted without the file beeing present, the default serial will just be used instead ;) )
- Now shows current battery serial on main menu screen
- Upon request (and due to be found cool :D ) you can also choose/set the name of the memorystick after reformatting :)
Like for the battery serial, put a file "msname.txt" in the root of your memstick, containing the name you want.

Revision 2: Now you can now also perform the actions on the memorystick, you so far needed to use "mspformat" and "msint" on the PC for!
That is repartitioning and formatting the memstick to reserve some space for the MS IPL and then install the IPL (MSIPL.BIN) into that reserved area.
The "Pandora Installer for 3.xx" holds options to perfom those tasks with a simple button press!
No more hazzeling around with the command prompt tools ;)

Revision 2b: Fixed some issues with memstick format and you no longer need to manually turn off PSP for the restart, fixed some other minor bugs as well.

Key features

  • Prepare (repartition and format) your memstick for Pandora
(to reserve space for the MS IPL)
since revision 3 you can also choose the name after format (see below)
  • Make normal battery to Pandora one
  • Make Pandora battery to normal one
  • Install a full 1.50 to the memstick, including the Pandora
  • Backup current battery serial to file
  • Restore battery serial from file
(if trying to restore from a backupfile without one beeing present,
the default serial will simply be used instead)
  • Restore PSP to 1.50

DOWNLOAD!

IT DOES WORK, I just downgraded my 3.90m33-3 to 1.50

After opening the X:/pandora (x = .rar file) follow these instructions:
OK, here’s a very short guide for a very easy setup of a complete Pandora set!

Including the preparations of the memstick.
Without hazzeling around with the commanprompt tools for Windows,
all done from the PSP with a few simple button presses!

1)
Make sure you have nothing on the memstick you want to keep!
Now FORMAT the memstick with the PSPs function for doing so
from Systemconfig => Format MemStick

2)
Copy the folder “pan3xx” from this archive to /PSP/GAME on your memstick, and
run it

3)
Press R+X, and confirm with R+L+X to repartition and format the memstick
(this is needed to reserve space for the MS IPL)

4)
Restart the PSP and connect it to the PC again via USB.
Create the folder /PSP and then /PSP/GAME on the memstick.
Copy (again ;-) ) the folder “pan3xx” from this archive to /PSP/GAME

5)
Copy the official 1.50 updater, named as UPDATE.PBP, to the root of
your memstick.
(X:\UPDATE.PBP, if X is the driveletter of your PSP)

6)
Run the “Pandora for 3.xx” installer again.
This time press X to install all files to the memstick.

7)
When the copy of the files is finished, press L+X, when asked to do so.

8)
Restart the installer once again and press O to make your battery to a
Pandora one

9)
Press /\ to finally exit the installer.

You have a full set of a Pandora Magic Memory Stick and a Pandora Battery now!
Enjoy!

To Use the Battery:

To restore battery to normal:

Downgrade your 3.71m33 PSP without Pandora!

Requirements:

  • A PSP with TA-079 or TA-082 motherboard
  • OFW 1.50 eboot
  • File Below

TA-082 MotherBoard:

It’s this easy:

  1. Copy the entire content of the attached file to PSP\GAME folder.
  2. Rename Original FW 1.50 file to UPDATE.PBP and copy it to PSP\GAME\UPDATE folder.
  3. In the Game menu launch “Update to X.Y.Z.”
  4. Follow the onscreen instruction and it’s done in a while.

File Assistant 3.xx

This is FA for 3.xx, which means that it now works on Slims too.
There are some functions that do not work, like when you press
the “Home”-button nothing happens. Right now the only way to get
out of this application is to restart your PSP or to launch this
homebrew from IR Shell, and use L+Home to quit the application (not tested).

How to install:
Place the FileAssistant folder in /PSP/GAME/ and run from Game->Memory Stick.
Make sure you are using 3.XX kernel in recovery.
